Using Online Jiu Jitsu Courses To Get Your Purple Belt Faster
Elevate your Jiu Jitsu game and unlock the secrets to mastering dominant positions – because at the purple belt level, it's not just about submissions, it's about control!
At Logic HQ, we stress conceptual understanding over specifc techniques, and in fact, we rarely teach technique specific classes.
There are a few reasons for this:
it encourages critical thinking and allows you to develop your own style of game...
you gain a deeper understanding of jiu jitsu and discover 'why' things work...
gives you the ability to apply a concept from ANY position rather than being a one-trick pony regurgitating the 'ABCs'...
your jiu jitsu skills develop at a faster rate due to a deeper understanding allowing shorter timeframe until application...
This style of learning really starts to show itself at the purple belt level and is highlighted by your decision making. A purple belt, for the most part, will make decisions from a more conceptual point-of-view which benefits them in the NEXT position.
A Blue Belt may be able to pass the guard but will often times pass with less than effective grips for stabilizing the NEXT position, such as side control. A quality Purple Belt, on the other hand, will only pass the guard if the grips used to pass will also work to effectively stabilize the NEXT position!
For us this is key.
What is the use of passing the guard if you just get put back into guard again?
